Big Brothers Big Sisters mentored 946 children in our area.
Children’s Advocacy Center provided counseling, therapy, and support services for over 410 new clients. Of these, 70% of them suffered from a form of sexual or physical abuse.
Communities in Schools served over 3,179 students with one-on-one counseling to help students stay in school.
The Boys and Girls Clubs provided 230,000 children ages 6-12 with recreational activities. These include football, basketball and volleyball leagues. They also include the track and field club sports activities.
Casa de Misericordia provided shelter provided shelter for 947 women and children. they have provided domestic violence counseling services to over 1,029 clients.
Crime Stoppers recovered over $40,00 in stolen property.
The South Texas Food Bank provided 577,560 meals through the Kid’s Cafe.
The Salvation Army provided 40,220 meals and lodging for 4,889 clients.
